WATSONS MOVE YOUR BODY IS BACK WITH THE LARGEST BEACH ZUMBA EVENT!

Asia’s leading health and beauty retailer once again successfully organised the largest Zumba gathering with its Watsons Move Your Body Zumba event. This health initiative presented by Watsons Malaysia, in-line with its Watsons #GETACTIVE campaign. A health and wellness campaign aimed to further promote healthy living and positioning Watsons as the ideal health and beauty shopping destination, this Zumba beach event recorded an achievement of 6,823 participants!!

This time around, Watsons Move Your Body Zumba brought a new level of fun and exciting experience for Zumba enthusiasts with a beach themed event at the Surf Beach of Sunway Lagoon. Capturing over 6,823 participants, this year’s event is the largest Zumba beach party held in Malaysia. Last year, Watsons Move Your Body Zumba was the largest Zumba event in Malaysia with more than 5,360 participating in the glow-in-the-dark theme Zumba. And the year before that, Watsons Move Your Body Zumba created a new record and still is the largest Zumba gathering in Malaysia with more than 7,000 participants held in Penang!!

The 2017 edition held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach saw the enthusiastic Zumba participants sweating it all out with Zumba routines in collaboration with Zumba Fitness, the governing body for Zumba worldwide with its headquarters in Florida, United States.

Participants are ready to rock the night with 2 hours non-stop Zumba dance.

The thematic Zumba beach party was hosted by Watsons Celebrity Friend, Dennis Yin, who hyped up the night with stage activities and lucky draws.

The Watsons Move Your Body Zumba session began and was led by three international’s top Zumba Education Specialists - Richard Gormley from Canada, Nana from South Korea and Henry Cendeno from USA, including Zumba jammers Deno Au, Alex Phang and Sunny Cheung from Malaysia

Traditional Balinese Yoga @ Mandara Spa

Happy 20th Annivery to Mandara Spa @ Sunway Resort! & to celebrate, they invited Guru Made Sumantra from Ubud, Bali, for a traditional Balinese yoga session

A week ago, I was honored to join this eye-opening experience, and it felt so relaxing & energetic!

The treatment is called "Prakat" healing, where three types of energy are used in each state:

- Prana (Bio Energy) on Body
- Kundalini (Awareness Energy) on Mind
- Atman (Soul Power Energy) on Soul

With this, the positive vibration will be raised from the soul into the mind and body.

It was my first time doing Yoga, so it was quite difficult for me to concentrate and focus. But Sumantra was very friendly, and guided me on how to breathe.

We had several breathing exercises, as well as stretches too. With this, we were fully able to transfer and control all of the energy that flowed in our bodies.

Balinese yoga focuses more on breathing, so we really had to relax and concentrate. And just by breathing alone, the energy really flowed from within.

So, who's Guru Made Sumantra?

Well, he was born in the village of Banjar Payogan, Ubud, and grew up in a family of traditional Balinese shaman healers.

He has been conducting yoga sessions for many many years, and sharing the wonderful yoga experience to all
