Mom was pretty excited when she knew that I was invited to join the Butterfly Project's Christmas Cupcake Workshop, because the both of us were pretty much clueless on baking.
Special thanks to Tammy, the founder of Butterfly Project, giving me the opportunity to join my very first baking workshop & a chance to meet other butterflies!
& another special thanks to AT 19 Culinary Studio for providing such a comfortable space (& of course guidance) for us to bake some delicious Christmas cupcakes!
First off, we were given a short brief on the items, & what to use for what purpose. Here is Ms. Suraiya, explaining all the ingredients for a red velvet cupcake!
I had no idea that it took so many ingredients to make cupcakes! (Honestly I thought it was just butter, eggs, and flour) No wonder they taste so delicious!! <3
Of course, it's always very nice to eat, but take note that it takes a lot of effort to bake!!
Most importantly, the ingredients are divided into three parts while blending in the mixture:

After mixing the base, we finally added the remaining ingredients!
Time to pour the batter into paper cups!
The cups need to be 3/4 filled, because if it's too much, it will spill out! Look at these lovelies waiting to be baked!!
tick tock....tick tock...
TA-DAH!!
Now it's time for the decorations!! Fondant is more complicated than I thought....Such cute designs! Of course, this is definitely not my work. It's just one of the samples~~
& here are the final productions from all butterflies!
Mine was very simple. Just a round red ball with a Christmas hat, & a Christmas tree!! Seriously guys, when you see those beautiful fondant cakes, please don't complain that they're expensive. It's really difficult to handle with!!
Thanks to all butterflies for making this event so much fun!!!
Once again, thanks to Butterfly Malaysia for organizing the workshop!
